Prospective Lab Members

I am recruiting a doctoral student interested in working on animal resource subsidies in the Mara River, Kenya. The student will join a highly collaborative and supportive research team of colleagues from UF, Yale University, Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, and National Museums of Kenya. Ongoing research is examining the influence of subsidy magnitude on secondary production, the trophic basis of production, and food web stability in the Mara River. The position is funded with RA and TA support from UF and research support from a funded NSF grant. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing this position or other opportunities within my lab.

Graduate applications for Fall 2020 were due December 1, 2019, and we are no longer accepting applications for a 2020 start date. If you are interested in starting graduate school in Fall 2021, please plan to apply by Fall 2020. Instructions and guidelines from the UF Biology Department can be found here.

I am always interested in talking with other prospective graduate students (MS or PhD) interested in animal influences on ecosystem function, and with undergraduate students at UF interested in gaining field and/or lab experience in animal and ecosystem ecology. Please contact me to discuss opportunities in my lab.
